Travel Leather Tote - Honey

$208.00

We've all been there - getting off an airplane, placing your tote on your suitcase, and immediately trying to figure how to secure your Tote straps on the handle of your suitcases so you don't have to carry it. In the end, the Tote ends up tipping over to one side and you go back to where you started, carrying it on your shoulder. It's definitely happened to me, so that's why we created the Travel Tote, a bag specifically designed to help make travel easier.

This Tote features two horizontal straps along the back that were specifically designed to slide over the handle of a suitcase. Second, it's not travel-friendly if you can't zip it up! A metal zipper expands the length of the Tote so you can close it up and slide it under your seat without having your contents roll out during take-off. Lastly, interior pockets will keep your wallet, sunglasses and/or chargers neatly organized.

Our Totes are hand-crafted with oiled leather - a material known for its durability and low maintenance needs. As the leather ages, it will take on a beautiful and unique patina. If you want to slow the building of the patina, we recommend treating it with a water and stain protector. This will prevent dirt from building up on the bag and help repel water.

Conditioning & Cleaning - Clean your leather piece regularly using a light colored cloth. For a deep clean, use a leather conditioner every 6 months. This will also help keep the leather soft and prevent cracking. We recommend Chamberlain’s Leather Milk Conditioner & Cleaner.

Stains - The sooner you catch a stain the easier it is to treat.  First things first, you'll want to absorb most of the stain on a clean cloth.  Allow it to dry and follow by gently brushing the stain with a nubuck brush.  Water stains will show up dark on the leather but will fade away once fully dried.  In most cases, these do not need to be treated.  For stubborn stains, see a leather specialist.

Storage - Keep out of direct sunlight. Store in a dry place.

A group of artisans craft each piece in a small workshop in the city of leather- Cotacachi, Ecuador.  Learn more about the process here >>
